Floor plate or Checker plate is used wherever a non-slip surface is required. It is often used for floors of trucks, trailers, and some high traffic areas like loading docks and walkways. It is basically a flat steel sheet with raised sections in a checker formation which creates superior grip. Floor plate is also typically used in decorative applications.
